Ok Traci. Here's the real. If you not trying to make history, you wasting time. Your vocal skills are limited [void of runs & riffs], the melody needs work, and the track is not competing with what's hot right now. I'm not saying to duplicate what's hot, I'm saying make your own sound hot. Dump the auto-tune & the "Chris Brown Sound". It's over used. Get some vocal training. Some of your notes are off key. This is how you can test yourself. Play your song against, Toni Braxton, Tamar Braxton, Whitney, Aaliyah, Jennifer Hudson, Keke Wyatt, and Kelly Price. If it ain't on the level like that, then you wasting time. If you really serious about music, you will push yourself to get better. You have to study the art of writing melodies & song structure. You have to know the HISTORY OF R&B [the roots]. Understand that people sang & became entertainers to save their lives. It was critical that they succeed or it meant death.....period. If you're gonna do this, take it serious and be the best!!! That's how you bust through the 6 and 1/2 million other artists trying to do the same thing you doing.
