My honest take on it: Artists these days give big praise to mediocracy. If you not trying to be on the level of a Scarface, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, 2Pac, Biggie, Busta Rhymes....[need I say more], you're playing with yourself. That's why we have no more "SUPERSTARS" in this business. Everyone's just mediocre. We, as people in the industry, have to stop pretending that we think this music is Cool, nice track, hott track leggo!!!!!, This is hot!!!.....when it's not. Goreala is not BAD, it's just mediocre. It's time for artists [R&B and Hip-Hop] to step up. When's the last time you felt excited like when you heard Naughty By Nature's "OPP", or Biggie's "One More Chance remix", or Outkast's "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik", or Snoop Doggy Dogg's "Gin & Juice", or Kelly Price's "It Will Rain". I could go on and on. There's no magic in the music. Note to artists: Stop playin'.....Bring the magic back!!!
